By Joe Vitale:
Deerfield Beach, Florida wide receiver Cavin Ridley has committed to Georgia, three days after he backed off his short-lived pledge to South Carolina.
Ridley will enroll this Monday at Georgia. He visited Athens Thursday with his high school coach.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Ridley had 36 receptions for 501 yards and four touchdowns for the 10-2 Bucks. He also rushed for 99 yards on 13 carries, while competing in Florida’s highest classification.
Ridley is the nation’s number 17-rated wide receiver and the highest rated receiver in Georgia’s 2016 class. He had been deciding between USC and Alabama, where his brother Calvin is a freshman All American receiver.
