During a donor event in Atlanta, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart announced the dates of the Dawgs’ preseason.
Smart stated the team will report to Athens on Sunday, July 30 and the first day of practice will be the next day.
Team meetings, conditioning and practice will take place for five to ten days. Official Fall practice begins Monday, August 14. Expect heated position battles along the offensive line, among wide receivers and in the kicking game.
Georgia opens the 2017 season on September 2, hosting the defending Sun Belt Conference champions, Appalachian State Mountaineers, in a 6:15pm ESPN-televised game.
