On Sunday night, Georgia held it’s annual year-end gala at the Classic Center. For the second year in a row, a transfer from the state of Alabama was named a permanent team captain. In 2015, linebacker Jake Ganus from Alabama-Birmingham was honored and he was followed by graduate transfer Maurice Smith from Alabama this year.
Following are the Bulldogs who walked away with the hardware this year.

The David Jacobs Award, given to a player who portrays courage, spirit, character and determination, went to former Southern University wide receiver Devon Gales, who sustained a neck injury during a game against Georgia last fall.

Georgia concludes its 2016 season with the TCU Horned Frogs in the Liberty Bowl on December 30 in Memphis, Tennessee. Kickoff is set for 12:00 EST and will be televised on ESPN.
