UGA has three early commitments for the class of 2017, 5-star athlete Richard LeCounte and 4-star linebackers Breon Dixon and Jaden Hunter; all from the state of Georgia. This weekend, Kirby Smart and staff will host two of those three prep stars in the Classic City.

Scout.com is reporting that Liberty County ATH Richard LeCounte and Grayson High School LB Breon Dixon are both set to visit UGA this weekend, along with a plethora of uncommitted prospects.

Richard LeCounte was Kirby’s first commitment as head coach at UGA. At 6’0, the elite athlete can play multiple positions but stars mostly as a safety. LeCounte has been the most vocal member of the recruiting class, taking it upon himself to recruit as many other players as possible to play alongside him at Georgia. The Liberty County standout ranks as the nation’s No. 29 overall player, 2nd best athlete and 2nd best player in the state of Georgia.

“I just want to represent my state,” LeCounte told Scout.com. “I think I can tell you that I am pretty popular with other guys, and I will reach out to them. We want to build a dynasty at Georgia.”

LB Breon Dixon committed to the University of Georgia on Christmas Eve of 2015. Dixon ranks as the nation’s 201st overall player in the class of 2017, 27th overall in the state of Georgia and as the nation’s 14th best OLB. At the time of his commitment, he was attending Peachtree Ridge, but has since transferred to Grayson HS, along with 5-star 2017 CB Deangelo Gibbs.

Dixon told me via text that he is most looking forward to “getting a chance to recruit all the other top recruits for our future #1 class for 2017.”
