Tomorrow, Georgia presents the main course on a superb 2017 recruiting class. As an appetizer, the Dawgs picked up a commitment today from Hialeah, Florida (Champagnat Catholic), 2018 linebacker Donovan Georges.
The 6’2″, 228-pound Georges is a three-star recruit and is rated the 15th best inside linebacker in the nation and number 80 overall prep in Florida.
“It was an honor for me to tell them I’m going to be a Dawg,” Georges told 247Sports.com. “They said it’s an honor for me tell them I’m finally going to be a Dawg. They said it’s a great decision for me.”
Georges recorded 136 tackles, 17 sacks and two forced fumbles during his junior year for the 10-3, 2A Lions. He committed to Georgia over Alabama, Miami, and LSU. He is the third commit in Georgia’s 15th-rated 2018 class.
