An Independence Day Treat- UGA Lands Another 4-star Defensive Back

Hialeah (FL) Mater Academy cornerback Latavious Brini (6’2″, 200 pounds) committed to the University of Georgia via a tweet a few minutes before midnight on Sunday. The four-star defender tweeted “I’m letting the world know that I’m committed to the G.”

Brini is nations 31st-ranked cornerback and the state of Florida’s 42nd ranked player in the 2017 class. Brini had originally announced he would make his commitment on July 31 but the call of the Dawgs was overpowering!

Brini was originally committed to Temple but chose Georgia over Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Miami and Notre Dame. Brini tweeted he would still take all five of his official visits.

That’s 12 commitments for the UGA 2017 class and the Dawgs’ third defensive back. Expect Georgia to select one more defensive back and possibly two.
